Connecticut SCUBA GearSCUBA diving is an equipment intensive sport. SCUBA gear is required to be able to enter the underwater world for any length of time. When you take your open water certification course, you will learn all bout SCUBA gear, how it works, and what type of gear is right for the type of diving you are going to be doing. Assembling and disassembling of the SCUBA gear will be done several times thoughout the course to ensure that you are doing it right. CT SCUBA Gear - The BasicsIn general, most SCUBA diving courses will require you to own the following personal gear: Most Connecticut Dive Shops will provide the rest of the basic gear for use with the class. Bottom Time SCUBA, LLC also allows use of the gear during the open water dives which is a big cost savings. For your open water dives you will also need to purchase the following gear:

You will be more comfortable in your own SCUBA gear, you will SCUBA dive more, and it will allow you to be spontaneous instead of having to wait for the dive shop to open so you can rent.
